Leather and spice and incense and animal!

Al Oudh by L'artisan Parfumeur is a unisex perfume that is a heavenly mix of warm spicy comfort scents with just enough floral and animal to make it alluring. This is one of those perfumes that makes me want to put my wrist to my nose for another whiff many times throughout the day.  I bought a small sample-sized decant from Surrender to Chance to see if I liked it.  Yes I did, very much!! Alas, a full bottle is out of my budget so I will continue to indulge in small decants now and then to feed my addiction.

A little bit bad (in a good way) - Bandit

My new favourite perfume is Bandit by Robert Piguet.  A smokey, leathery, animalic blend of brutal beauty.  I have the 2012 reformulation (sadly not the 1944 original, which by all accounts is a masterpiece).

Whether the story behind the creation of the original Bandit by perfumer Germaine Cellier is true or not, it's a very interesting and colourful account.  I'm keen to sniff some of her other creations now too!
